Thanks for using VisionSnip! These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using it. We've tried to keep them short and readable.
When we say "VisionSnip", "we", "our" or "us", we mean Maarij Aqeel, based in Pakistan, who operates VisionSnip.
"Services" means the VisionSnip website at visionsnip.maarijaqeel.com, its app, and its API.
"You" means the person who owns a VisionSnip account.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy policy and our Refund policy. These Terms include a limitation of our liability. If you don't agree, please don't use VisionSnip.
We may update these Terms. When we make a significant change, we'll update the date at the top, and for paid accounts we'll email you in advance. If you keep using VisionSnip after a change takes effect, you're agreeing to the new Terms.
If we don't enforce a right or provision of these Terms, we haven't given it up.
What VisionSnip does
You upload a long video. VisionSnip transcribes it, uses AI to suggest the strongest short clips, and lets you edit, caption, reformat and export them.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use VisionSnip. If you're in the EU or UK, you must be 16, or the age of digital consent in your country.
- You must be a human. Accounts created by bots or other automated methods are not allowed.
- One free account per person. Creating extra accounts to get around the Free plan's limits isn't allowed.
- You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure. That means your Google account or the email address you sign in with. You're also responsible for everything that happens under your account. We're not liable for loss or damage caused by someone else using your account because it wasn't kept secure.
Plans, payments and limits
- Plans. VisionSnip has a Free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes is shown on our pricing page and in your account menu. This covers video minutes per month, the longest video you can upload, the number of exports, how long files are kept, and whether exports carry a watermark.
- The Free plan is really free. We don't ask for a card. Clips and exports made on the Free plan include a VisionSnip watermark.
- How usage is counted.
- Video minutes are counted on the full length of each video you upload, once it has been processed.
- If processing fails, those minutes are given back automatically. An export that fails isn't counted either.
- Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Unused minutes and exports don't carry over.
- Who you pay. Our order process is run by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for all our orders. It handles payment, taxes, invoices and billing questions, and its buyer terms apply to your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. When you upgrade from Free, you're charged straight away and your billing period starts that day.
- Taxes. Prices may not include sales tax or VAT. Where it applies, Lemon Squeezy adds it at checkout.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except as described in our Refund policy.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. If we raise the price of your current paid plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies. You can cancel before then.
Cancellation and termination
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing link in your account or your receipt email. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, your account moves to the Free plan.
- What happens to your files. Files already in your account keep their original deletion dates. Anything you upload afterwards follows the Free plan's limits and storage times.
- Deleting your account. Email us at support@maarijaqeel.com from your account's email address. Deleting your account removes your content permanently, as described in our Privacy policy. We can't recover it afterwards.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. This includes accounts that upload illegal or infringing content, abuse the service or other people, or try to get around limits or security. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first. If we close a paid account for breaking these Terms, the payment isn't refunded.
- Abuse or threats directed at anyone working on VisionSnip will result in immediate account termination.
Your content
- You own your content. Your videos, clips, captions and songs remain yours.
- The licence you give us. You give us a limited licence to store, copy, process, transcribe, analyse, edit and render your content. That licence is only for providing the Services to you, and it includes sending your content to the providers listed in our Privacy policy for that purpose. It ends when your content is deleted.
- You must have the rights to what you upload. That means the right to the videos, to the songs you add as music, and permission from the people who appear in them where the law requires it. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
- Music on social platforms. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube may mute or remove videos that contain copyrighted music. That's between you and them.
- We don't pre-screen content. We may remove content, or refuse to process it, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law.
- Storage is temporary. VisionSnip isn't a backup or archive service. Files are deleted automatically on the schedule in our Privacy policy, so export and keep anything you want to hold on to.
What you may not do
You may not use VisionSnip to:
- Upload, create or share anything illegal. This includes child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving anyone without their consent, content that promotes terrorism or violence, harassment, threats, or hate speech.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Upload malware, or try to break, overload or get around VisionSnip's security, rate limits or plan limits.
- Copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the Services, or use them to build a competing product, without our written permission.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content processed by VisionSnip infringes your copyright, email support@maarijaqeel.com with:
- the work you believe is infringed;
- the content you're complaining about, and where you found it;
- your contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised;
- a statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
- your signature.
We'll review the complaint and remove the content where appropriate. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be closed.
AI results
VisionSnip uses AI to transcribe speech and suggest clips. The results can be wrong: misheard words, clips that start or end in the wrong place, or suggestions that don't suit your audience. The "viral score" is an estimate, not a promise of views or results. Check your clips and captions before you publish them. You're responsible for what you publish.
Our property
VisionSnip's software, design, logo and name belong to us. Using the Services doesn't give you any ownership of them. Please don't use our logo or name to promote your own products without asking first.
Changes to the service
We're always working on VisionSnip. We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering the Services, at any time. If we stop offering a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance.
Availability, security and privacy
- You use VisionSnip at your own risk. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep them running, but we don't guarantee they'll always be available, error-free or suitable for your particular needs.
- We may limit or temporarily pause an account whose usage is far above normal or threatens the service for other users. Where possible, we'll contact you first.
- We process your data as described in our Privacy policy.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VisionSnip will not be liable to you or anyone else for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses. This applies whether the loss arises from using or not being able to use the Services, from someone else gaining access to your account or data, from content or conduct of any third party, or from any other matter relating to the Services. It applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 50 if you haven't paid us anything.
You agree to cover any claims, damages and costs that arise because content you uploaded infringed someone's rights, or because you broke these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that can't legally be limited.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
