AI clip maker that finds the moments worth posting

Upload a podcast, interview or talk. VisionSnip reads every word, picks the 30 to 60 second segments that open strong and end on a complete thought, and turns them into captioned vertical clips you can edit.

Every pick comes with a reason

Suggested clips arrive with a score, the line that hooks the viewer and a note on why the moment should work, so choosing which to keep takes minutes.

  1. 12:04 – 12:519/10

“Nobody tells you the first hundred customers are the hardest part.”

Opens on a claim people will argue with, and the story that follows ends on a clear lesson.

  2. 27:38 – 28:228/10

“Here's the exact email we sent to every customer who cancelled.”

Promises something concrete in the first line and delivers it before the minute is up.

  3. 41:10 – 41:568/10

“We were three weeks from shutting down.”

A turning point with a complete ending. It makes sense without the rest of the episode.

How the AI clip maker works

Want clips on one subject? Describe it before you start, for example “the part about hiring”, and the AI looks for moments that match.

  1. Upload your video

MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM. Anything where people talk works: podcasts, interviews, webinars, talks and explainers.

  2. The AI picks the clips

Every word is transcribed with its timing. An AI model reads the whole transcript and chooses self-contained 30 to 60 second segments.

  3. Review, edit, download

Keep the picks you like, adjust the start and end, choose captions and a format, then download each clip as an MP4.

How the AI decides what makes a clip

VisionSnip starts by transcribing the video word by word, with a timestamp on every word. Clips are cut from those timestamps, so they start and stop between words rather than in the middle of one.

An AI model then reads the full transcript and looks for segments that work on their own: a first line that makes people stop scrolling, a single idea, and an ending that lands. It passes over moments that start mid-sentence or only make sense if you've watched the previous ten minutes.

Each pick gets a score out of 10. Use it to sort the list, not as a prediction: you know your audience better than any model does.

Point it at a topic, choose how many

Leave the prompt empty to get the strongest moments overall, or describe what you're after: “the story about our first hire”, “anything about pricing”, “the guest's advice for beginners”. The AI then favours segments that match.

You also choose how many clips to ask for: up to 5 per video on the Free plan and up to 50 on Pro. Want more later? Ask again from the same video without uploading it twice, while the original is still stored.

You stay the editor

Nothing is posted for you. Every clip opens in the editor, where you can:

  • Move the start or end and re-cut the clip from the original video
  • Fix misheard words or remove words from the captions
  • Choose one of four caption styles and change the font, colours and size
  • Export 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, with smart reframe following the speaker
  • Cut “um” and “uh”, and add background music

Questions

Is the AI clip maker free?

Yes, to start. The Free plan includes 15 video minutes a month, videos up to 15 minutes long and up to 5 clips per video, with no credit card. Free clips carry a small VisionSnip watermark and export in 720p; paid plans remove the watermark, export in up to 1080p and raise the limits.

How long are the clips?

The AI looks for segments of about 30 to 60 seconds, which suits Shorts, Reels and TikTok. You can make any clip shorter or longer in the editor by moving its start and end.

What kind of videos work best?

Videos where people talk: podcasts, interviews, webinars, talks, lessons and explainers. The picks are based on what is said, so footage without speech, such as music videos or gameplay without commentary, gives the AI little to work with.

Does VisionSnip post the clips for me?

No. You download each clip as an MP4 and post it yourself, or load it into the scheduling tool you already use.

Can I get more clips from the same video later?

Yes. Ask for more from the same video while its original is still stored, up to your plan's per-video limit. How long originals are kept depends on your plan.
