Which words are removed
VisionSnip removes hesitation sounds, the ones that are never part of a real sentence:
- um, umm, uhm
- uh, uhh
- ah, ahh
- er, err
- mm, hmm, mhm
Turn on filler removal and VisionSnip cuts every “um”, “uh” and “hmm” out of the clip's audio, video and captions in one pass, so the speaker sounds sharper without a re-record.

Fillers are found in the word-by-word transcript and cut from the clip along with their captions. Your original video stays as it was.
Um, I think the, uh, biggest mistake is waiting. You, hmm, you just have to ship it and, uh, learn from what people do.
Filler removal is a switch, not a one-way edit. Turn it off again and the clip goes back to how it was.
VisionSnip transcribes every word, fillers included, with its exact timing.
The editor lists each filler it found with its time, and the preview plays the clip without them.
The fillers are cut from the audio, the video and the captions in a single pass.
VisionSnip removes hesitation sounds, the ones that are never part of a real sentence:
Words such as “like”, “so” and “you know” are often fillers, but just as often they're doing real work: “I like this”, “you know the answer”. Cutting them automatically would break sentences, so VisionSnip leaves them in. The list is deliberately short so that nothing you meant to say goes missing.
Each filler has a start and end time from the transcript. VisionSnip cuts a few hundredths of a second either side so neighbouring words aren't clipped, joins cuts that touch, and re-times the captions so they stay in sync. Background music is placed to match the shorter clip.
Every removal is a small cut in the picture as well as the sound. With the speaker on camera you may notice a slight jump where a long “ummm” was, much like a jump cut. In fast-paced vertical clips it's rarely distracting, and you can preview the result before exporting.
No. It removes the listed filler sounds only. Pauses where nobody speaks stay in the clip.
No. Filler removal applies to the clips you export. The uploaded video isn't changed.
Yes. It's a switch in the editor: turn it off and the next export keeps every word.
Yes. It's included on every plan, including Free.
Yes. Music is placed against the shortened clip, so it stays where you put it on the timeline.
