An OpusClip alternative with the whole editor on every plan

VisionSnip does the job OpusClip is known for: it finds the best moments in a long video and turns them into captioned vertical clips. Here's how the two compare on price and features, and when each one is the better choice.

More minutes for the money

VisionSnip Plus is $9 a month for 300 video minutes; OpusClip Starter is $15 for 150. One plan up, VisionSnip Pro is $29 for 1,200 minutes and OpusClip Pro is $29 for 300.

If you clip a weekly podcast or a few long interviews a month, that difference decides how much you can upload before you hit the limit.

The editor isn't an upgrade

VisionSnip's Free plan has the same editor as Pro: filler removal, all four formats with smart reframe, the caption editor and background music. Paid plans add minutes, longer videos, 1080p exports and no watermark, not editing features.

OpusClip keeps filler removal for Starter and up, and 1:1 and 16:9 reframing for Pro. VisionSnip also exports 4:5, the portrait shape for Instagram and Facebook feed posts.

Focused on clips and captions

VisionSnip doesn't try to be a social media manager. It finds the clips, explains each pick, lets you fix every caption word and exports MP4s you post wherever you like, alongside the tools you already use.

Where OpusClip is ahead

  • Importing straight from YouTube and other links; VisionSnip needs the video file
  • Posting and scheduling to social platforms from the app
  • AI B-roll and team workspaces
  • Higher export quality on its top plan (up to 4K) and much larger uploads
  • More free minutes each month: 60 against 15
  • Longer clips: OpusClip offers clip lengths up to 15 minutes, while VisionSnip suggests 30 to 60 second clips

Choose VisionSnip if

  • You clip podcasts, interviews or talks and want the most minutes for your budget
  • You want filler removal and every format without paying for a higher plan
  • You're happy to download your clips and post them yourself

Choose OpusClip if

  • You import from YouTube or other links rather than files
  • You want posting, scheduling and B-roll in the same tool
  • You need exports above 1080p, very large uploads or a team workspace
